Data for Development Program in Nepal (D4D)

The D4D Program aims to improve the sharing and use of (open) data as evidence for development. Implemented by Asia Foundation in partnership with Development Initiative with funding from the UK government’s Department for International Development, the D4D Program supports a range of local organisations to conduct innovative technical initiatives, research studies and engagement activities aimed at growing the demand for, supply of and use of (open) data. Through this the D4D Program works to strengthen a functional, inclusive and locally led data ecosystem in Nepal.
The D4D Program works to ensure that more and better data is available, accessible and usable by a range of government, civil society, and private sector actors to inform decision making, implementation and monitoring of development efforts at the national and sub-national level.
